TNC Plug Male Crimp Coax Connector for RG8, AIR802 CA400, Times Microwave's LMR400 or Belden 9913 Cable
AIR802® model CN4TNP is a TNC type plug-male crimp style connector for AIR802 CA400, Times Microwave LMR400, RG8, Belden 9913 and 7810 size cable.
AIR802® manufactures high precision and performance connectors, including this TNC plug (male) crimp style connector for RG8, AIR802® CA400, Times Microwave's LMR400® and similar cables. Connector selection is extremely important to insure proper operation and reliability. Poorly constructed connectors will cause higher VSWR and insertion loss resulting in electrical noise and intermittent issues. AIR802® manufactures very large quantities of connectors for our global customers allowing us to provide an attractive quality to price ratio.
In choosing connectors, it is important to match one to the type of cable being used, the impedance (50 versus 75 ohms), the frequency support, insertion loss, voltage rating and environmental specifications. If you are an amateur considering buying connectors to install, we recommend that you purchase our pre-manufactured antenna cable assemblies which have been professionally assembled and tested. Installation of connectors without experience and proper equipment will lead to improperly terminated connectors.
This connector is a TNC plug (male). Connectors can be a bit confusing regarding the gender. There are also Reverse Polarity TNC (RP-TNC) connectors. RP-TNC is common with many wireless products. The RP-TNC plug is a male connector. It has threads inside and the pin does not protrude from inside the connector. This cause confusion for many not familiar with various connector types leading them to believe that this is the female, however it is without doubt considered the male. We generally prefer the term, plug, in order to avoid this confusion.
