AIR802® model CN2RTJB is a RP-TNC type jack-female bulkhead crimp connector for AIR802 CA195, Times Microwave LMR195, RG58, Belden 8240 and 8219 size cable.
AIR802® manufactures high precision and performance connectors. Connector selection is extremely important to insure proper operation and reliability. Poorly constructed connectors will cause higher VSWR and insertion loss resulting in electrical noise and intermittent issues. Installation of connectors without experience and proper equipment will lead to improperly terminated connectors.
This connector is a RP-TNC jack (female) for RG58 and 195-Series cable. Connectors can be a very confusing regarding the gender. There are RP-TNC and regular TNC connectors. RP-TNC is common with many wireless products. The RP-TNC jack is a female connector. The threads are on the outside and the pin protrudes from inside the connector. This causes confusion for many not familiar with various connector types leading them to believe that this is the male, however it is the female. This particular connector is a bulkhead style connector which is often used to mount through enclosures.
