N-Male Plug to N-Male Plug Barrel Adapter
AIR802® part number AD-NMNM is a 50 ohm coaxial barrel adapter from a type N plug-male to a type N plug-male.
AIR802® manufactures high precision and performance adapters and connectors. Adapter and connector selection is extremely important to insure proper operation and reliability. Poorly constructed adapters and/or connectors will cause higher VSWR and insertion loss resulting in electrical noise and intermittent issues. AIR802® manufactures very large quantities of adapters and connectors for our global customers allowing us to provide an attractive quality to price ratio.
In choosing adapters and/or connectors, it is important to match one to the type of cable being used, the impedance (50 versus 75 ohms), the frequency support, insertion loss, voltage rating and environmental specifications. Adapters are very useful for matching different connector types.
This is a N-Male to N-male adapter. N type connectors were developed in the 1940's by Paul Neill of Bell Labs and were one of the first connectors capable of transmitting microwave frequencies. N type adapters and connectors are manufactured in both 50 and 75 ohm versions. Our N type adapters and connectors are all 50 ohm varieties.
