BNC connectors are a miniature quick-connect style with two bayonet lugs on the female connector. Mating is accomplished by a quarter turn of the male connector. There are both 50 and 75 ohm versions of BNC connectors. BNC connectors are used with video (generally 75 ohm) and amateur radio, test equipment in addition to marine and avionic electronics.
