Product Description - Model CN6UHFJ

This AIR802® connector is an UHF Jack (Female) or SO-239 style connector for AIR802® CA600, Times Microwave LMR600® or similar cables. The center pin can be soldered or may be crimped with our TL-CRIMP06-2 crimp tool.

In order to provide superior performance and longevity AIR802® has designed and manufactured this premium connector with tri-metal Albaloy (Copper/Tin/Zinc) plated brass. Standard connectors are nickel or silver plated brass. This tri-metal (Albaloy) is a premium class connector providing the best possible performance. Now you can have both corrosion resistant and low Intermodulation distortion (IMD) characteristics in one product. We provide the following chart to illustrate the positive and negative characteristics of each plating type.

AIR802® manufactures high precision and performance connectors. Connector selection is extremely important to insure proper operation and reliability. Poorly constructed connectors will cause higher VSWR and insertion loss resulting in electrical noise and intermittent issues. AIR802® manufactures very large quantities of connectors for our global customers allowing us to provide an attractive quality to price ratio.

In choosing connectors, it is important to match one to the type of cable being used, the impedance (50 versus 75 ohms), the frequency support, insertion loss, voltage rating and environmental specifications. If you are an amateur considering buying connectors to install, we recommend that you purchase our pre-manufactured antenna cable assemblies which have been professionally assembled and tested. Installation of connectors without experience and proper equipment will lead to improperly terminated connectors.

UHF style connectors are used for lower band frequencies such as ham radio, CB, etc. up to 300 MHz.
