The AD-POEMODSCREW is a RJ45 modular plug to screw terminal wire adapter for power-over-Ethernet (PoE) voltage extraction, insertion or testing.
This adapter is useful for voltage extraction, insertion or testing from a 10/100 Mbps interface with PoE utilization on the unused data pins (4,5,7,8). This is for Mode B 10/100 interfaces where the voltage always is on and flowing. It facilitates accessing the voltage from a PoE device,whether a switch, mid-span injector, DC-DC converter with PoE, or passive PoE devices. It is not for use with IEEE 802.3af devices that require resistive change from the powered device to the power source prior to voltage flowing.
